Who is Behind Bradycardia Education Access Tool?

The Bradycardia Therapy Access Global Thought Leader Advisory Board, founded in 2021, is at the heart of B.E.A.T.’s mission to expand patient access to life-saving pacemaker therapy in underserved regions. Comprising 14 globally recognized electrophysiologists, the board has developed a high-impact training program combining digital and hands-on instruction to equip physicians with essential implantation skills. With a steadfast commitment to equity in care, this curriculum ensures the safe, effective transfer of life-saving skills to physicians, driving better patient outcomes.

Further amplifying their impact, the advisors authored a groundbreaking Bradycardia Supplement in the European Heart Journal, titled “Identifying and Rectifying Barriers to Bradycardia Therapy Access in Underserved Regions.” This pivotal publication highlights care disparities in low- and middle-income countries and presents solutions to accelerate pacemaker adoption, emphasizing the role of governments, NGOs, industry, and medical societies in expanding training and access.
